WIP SPAIN 2013: Cultures of Internet. Comparative study about uses, perceptions and attitudes

The present research offers a diagnosis  about the use, knowledge, attitudes and  perceptions of Internet in the entire of Spanish territory at the time when the impact of the use of different online services that shape the Net is becoming noticeable in all areas of the society. It’s a descriptive research that pursues to draw a map of acces,consumption and perception of the Internet as of the achieved data through biennial surveys in 2011 and 2013. This allows observe the evolution in assessments and penetration that different digital services have in the Spanish society.

The data shown and discussed in this study refer to the Spanish territory although  they are placed within an international project and this allows a comparative exam of the results. Specifically, in this report a principal components analysis and a hierarchical cluster analysis are practiced, using the methodology applied in the report by the Oxford Internet Institute (Dutton & Blank, 2013) with data of WIP Britain 2013, in order to identify the latent digital cultures ofthe Internet users in the Spanish territory.
